Kastaplast K1 Stål

The 9 speed / fade 3, fairway meathook is a must-have in everyone's bag, and while the choices appear vast they are all really variations on the Firebird theme.

The Stal fills the spot in Kastaplast's lineup presenting as a slightly less aggressive option. The rim is smooth and flows into the dome without any sharp turns or hard edges (the anti-Tilt/Mutant design philosophy?); indeed the fact there is a slight dome is notable as most other versions sport a flatter profile. The result is a glidier midflight than, say, a KC 12x Champ Firebird, or even a Sexton, before it carves the meathook of a fade and skips the landing.

I would pitch the Stal at the intermediate player who may not be getting everything they want out of a Firebird or a Raptor in terms of length and shapeability because they may not have the snap to properly generate the intended flights. The Stal gets you most of what you want with perhaps the exception of a perfectly flat flightplate to help angle control on power forehands.

For the power thrower, I would class it as a touch more OS than, say, a stiff-ish Star Thunderbird (stock, not the gummy McBeth versions) and imagine it would season fairly well to hit reliable headwind hyzers circa 70-90m.
