The Flying Fish is Ocean Discs's second disc golf disc, a straight to overstable torque resistant fairway driver, trusted for windy conditions and power throwers.

The flight numbers are yet to be determined, so pick up a Flying Fish and let us know on social media what you think the flight numbers should be. @OceanDiscs

❌ The Ocean Discs Flying Fish has not passed the PDGA approval process. ❌ Unfortunately the disc design didn’t tick all the boxes.

“This disc passed all PDGA tests but the rim configuration and radius gauge tests. Consequently, it cannot be approved at this time. The rim configuration rating was measured at 18.50 kg (PDGA minimum is 26.00), and the leading edge is sharper than the 1/16th-inch radius gauge. Both tests indicate that the disc is significantly too sharp to pass.” @pdga ✅

❤️ Disc golf manufacturers typically don’t advertise or acknowledge these types of mistakes, but they happen more often than you might think. In this case, the inside edge ended up too sharp. 💔 Limited Edition. Only 460 Flying Fish were made.

Can you not just fix the mold? Yes 🤑 and no 🤑.
In our case, fixing the mold would cost about 70% of the price of creating a brand new one, with no guarantee that the disc will pass PDGA approval the second time around.

Ocean Waste Swirly Pacific

We recommend Swirly Pacific discs to all players who love swirly, premium durability, and a touch less turn. Each disc has a unique swirl, so no two are alike, combining premium durability with stunning swirls to create the perfect disc for all disc golf enthusiasts.

Ocean Waste Swirly Pacific plastic is our premium recycled plastic line, with great grip, soft and flexible feel. We recommend Ocean Waste Swirly Pacific discs to all players who want premium durability with a touch less turn and help reduce plastic waste from our oceans.

Our Ocean Waste Swirly Pacific plastic is made from waste recycled plastic collected from the ocean, like fishing nets, bottles, drums and other plastic marine waste materials. These are sorted and reground into tiny plastic pellets, ready to be regenerated into new recycled discs and has the potential to be recycled again. As well as being a solution on waste, regenerated pacific plastic is also better for the environment and a sustainable future for disc golf.
