Have a blast with this overstable fairway driver. A lot of fairway drivers fly too straight, and a lot of them are too overstable. The Culverin fits right between those two segments. For the advanced and pro players the first part of the flight will be straight and it will finish with a dependable fade. If you are looking for a dependable fairway driver that you still can get some decent distance out of, Culverin is the answer. Aim, shoot, hit your mark.

Opto-X Plastic: Opto-X is a premium blend of plastics that provides a stiffer feel, increased durability, and more overstable flights compared to regular Opto.

Special Edition: This special design is created by Latitude's talented graphic designers, and hot stamped with foil on the disc. These discs are in limited amount and will not be restocked regularly.

I have had these discs for a couple months now but have not thrown them in a field to compare to my other culverins until today..
The opto x plastic is a stiffer blend but has a slight dome on these discs compared to my board flat optos and recycled ones.
As the opto x glimmer usually is a more stable plastic i assumed it would fly like my fireballs from mvp and be a nice overstable compliment to my slightly beat in opto culverin... boy was i wrong!

I threw both of these forehand and backhand with headwinds and tailwinds to see what would happen..
Into a headwind on both backhand and forehand they popped up from hyzer and turned over a fair bit before slightly finishing flat. I was shocked by this and threw a recycled culverin and an opto the same way in the same wind and got a straight flight with more fade.

In a tailwind the opto x popped up to flat on a hyzer and finished straight, then i tried a spike hyzer line and was very shocked when the disc flipped to near flat at the peak of the flight and then continued to glide on hyzer before spiking down way left.

Overall, compared to all my other culverins this opto x run has a lot more glide but in turn, has a lot less stability and flies like my very beat in optos, or similar to my @mvpdiscsports inertias.
Although shocked by the flights on these i am happy with it as it offers a whole different flight to my 3 permanently bagged opto culverins and the opto x may get bagged instead of my inertias.
