Axiom Electron Firm Envy - Commemorative Replica Special Edition
SPEED: 3 | GLIDE: 3 | TURN: -1 | FADE: 2
The Envy has a smooth modern feel that fits in the hand perfectly, lending confidence for both putt and approach duties. The Envy exhibits reliable high-speed stability and a minimal fade. With a slightly lower profile and cruising speed than the Ion and Anode class, the Envy is a uniquely “lid-like” stable putter.
The Greatest Shot In Disc Golf History
History isn’t made by settling for anything less than the best. During the final round of the 2021 PDGA World Championships, James arrived at the 18th hole having risen above every competitor but one. He was one stroke behind first place, and his only way to force a playoff? Make a 247 foot blind shot with OB all around the basket. What followed was an achievement that wouldn’t just take the disc golf world by storm, it would become a moment of triumph seared forever into our collective memory.

The Envy is arguably the world's best / most popular throwing putter, and I love it. I have at least about 20 of them in various plastics and would happily One-Disc-Round almost any course you can think of with it because it can go from the putting circle all the way out to smashing 350-foot golf drives on a stable line for me. But this particular version ... well...
I read that MVP was so unprepared for the demand spike driven by James Conrad's miraculous Holy Shot and World Champs win that they were backlogged for nearly a year on these commemorative versions of the Envy. And when they finally shipped to market, some of the demand had dropped off for them as the hype cycle had moved on. I pointedly refused to look this gift horse in the mouth because the oversupply meant players like me could fill my boots with these beauties.
In my hand, they feel a touch gummier than the normal Electron blends, which lets me dig into the grip with just a shade more confidence. The blue/yellow combination is best set off against the sparkly silver stamp foil for max style points, and the design is thankfully a little more conventional than some of the more obscure designs MVP/Axiom comes up with.
In my imagination, the rocket scientists at MVP must have poured just a little more love and attention to these commemorative discs, with a touch more Quality Control perhaps than the usual run of plastic. Maybe that's just fake news but I reckon it helps me throw these better to believe it!
