Dynamics Discs Lucid Ice Evader Misprint
The Evader is your new go-to fairway driver. It has controllable speed with excellent glide and enough stability to hold the line, even into the wind. The Evader's 7-speed means that you can count on it to fill the distance gap between your 5-speed midranges and 9-speed fairway drivers, like the Escape or the Getaway. The Evader is extremely versatile, and its consistent fade means that you can work it on anhyzer and know that it will get back to flat. If you're looking for a workhorse fairway driver, the Evader belongs in your bag.
Rare Crystal Clear Ice Lucid Plastic.
I bought the clear Lucid Misprint Evader with hopes that it would live up to the description of a reliable, stable and fadey 7 speed, even in the wind. I was putting it up against my stable Explorers and well-used Legacy Disc Rivals, which are all great but haven't fully inspired confidence in a headwind. Sadly, after months of fieldwork, it is just too touchy to be trusted on a good rip into a headwind. I would not expect it to flip over given the numbers, but have seen it slide out to the right, never to return. The solution - at least for me - seems to be to disc up to an 8 speed Volt or TeeBird3 rather than hunt for something in the 7 speed range. It would have been 3 stars, but the Evader earned a 4th star for its chops in the forehand approach game. It is just about flat enough to feel good in a FH grip, and has a very stable line up to about 80m, with a fair chance of a skip if ground conditions are going to help it.
