Dynamic Discs Blank Fuzion Enforcer
You no longer need to make a choice. You don't have to sacrifice distance in order to have stability. You don't have to fear flipping over when you need a big throw. The Enforcer mixes these two needs beautifully. It will fly great into a wind. It can be turned over for a very predictable S-flight. It is a wonderful disc for a spike shot. The versatility and predictability of the Enforcer has proven itself and is a staple in the bags of many world class professionals.
There are a lot of drivers which promise to be invincible in the wind and this was one of the classic options I tested, alongside the Innova Invictus and Excalibur. The question is whether it is a generally useful disc , or does it only do the one thing well? First, a caveat: unless you can push something like a Firebird beyond 90m on a flat-to-hyzer release, then the Enforcer is probably more disc than you need. A speedy swing is a threshold requirement for this to be worth bagging, IMHO. Even so, I found the first 50 throws frustrating as all it wanted to do was hook up short, arm-speed be damned. But after beating it up past that point, it started showing the promised glide and battled out to 100m in a stiff headwind. I liked it best on a flat release with slight elevation, where it catches the wind for the first half of the flight before starting its fade, which is gradual up until it hits a wall and hooks hard with a no-nonsense dive to the ground, sometimes skipping up on a high bounce. In a moderate headwind, I've managed to launch it to 130m on a high anny distance line, watching it S-line as if there was no wind to worry about. As for hand-feel, the rim is not particularly wide which suits a strong power grip, and there is a gentle dome which favours a backhand release. However, the Fuzion plastic is pliable (not a heartbeat pop-top) which comfortably allows your thumb to press down on a forehand grip. I currently bag it on bad weather days and use it for +100m forced turnovers where I need to be completely certain that it will hook up left irrespective of any headwinds. I will be curious as to how it may develop as I beat it in further, as it might grow into that elusive long distance, wind-fighting, shot-shaper we all wish we had!
